Airtel Ijebu Heritage Half Marathon Highlight
I filmed the Airtel Ijebu Heritage Half Marathon and the whole experience felt like a figurative depiction of life. Some people ran to win the prize, got there and seemed unhappy. Some considered their win simply completing the challenge and they focused on taking the next step till they got to the finish line. They seemed like the happiest, enjoying themselves and taking it all as an experience. Truly living and making the most out of life isn’t about prizes or awards or results alone, it is about building experiences. If you make your life all about a goal, you will feel empty during and after you get it. Success or accomplishments don’t bring lasting joy or fulfillment it is temporary and frankly depending on something which is most times out of your control which can break you. We are all in a marathon and we all have control over our choices. Don’t spend your life chasing only goals, spend your life creating experiences and enjoying the processes along your journey.
Experiences don’t end, but results happen and afterwards it is on to the next one. Choose the light.
Princess Folashade Burial Montage
When our good people die, we grieve. It’s natural. No matter how old the person is, we always want to have our loved ones with us forever. While creating this montage, it occurred to me that this particular burial ceremony had more joy and laughter than tears and sorrow. I was puzzled at first, but soon realized why. Princess Folashade has impacted so many people positively during her time on earth. Everyone in attendance was so overjoyed to have experienced or have had a relationship with her. Watching people celebrate her time on earth with so much dedication made me realize the important of being a bright light. You never stop shining even after you leave this earth. The parts of you in everyone would continue to beam as your memory lives on.
